Our approach is light-hearted to allow students to feel comfortable and at ease, while gently encouraging each student to reveal their full-potential. Our teaching is informed and supported by a life-affirming Tantric yoga philosophy. In Tantra yoga we look to live life from an attitude of acceptance, love and celebration of beauty. We honour the beauty inherent in individual diversity and expression. We treasure the importance of nurturing loving and respectful relationships with ourselves and others and the crucial importance of a strong and accepting community.
Our classes are structured to include a variety of poses to enhance the overall balance within our body, mind and heart. We begin each class with a brief centering, then move into the postures along with pranayama (breathing) practice/awareness and end with meditation and/or deep relaxation. A variety of levels are offered to allow the student to choose the most appropriate level and type of class to meet their needs.
Our technique is alignment based to ensure both safety and optimal flow of prana within the body. Precise alignment instructions are intended to support the health and healing capabilities of our bodies while helping you to evolve your physical strength and flexibility and create a healthy environment for spiritual growth.
