ABOUT COSTA DULCE
Retreat to nature, the jungle, and the beach at Costa Dulce Eco-Resort and Retreat Center where natural living meets rustic luxury. Its ideal location immersed in nature in its own valley on Playa Escameca Grande offers true relaxation and tranquility, without any distractions, yet it is close enough to San Juan del Sur to pay a visit.
Spread across a jungle hill rising up from the from the beach, Costa Dulce consists of eleven individual Bungalows, two yoga shalas, a large lounge/common area, wellness centre and a restaurant “the Dulce Cocina”.
Much thought and consideration has gone into the location of all of our buildings keeping the jungle undisturbed and vibrant. To preserve the natural beauty of the jungle no machinery was used in the construction of Costa Dulce. The entire place has been hand built using traditional construction methods.
Costa Dulce is ideal for all travelers looking to enjoy good company, yoga & relaxation in a relaxed, safe, and healthy environment.
Costa Dulce has 9 beautifully crafted ocean view bungalows and two rooms built across a jungle hill rising up from the beach. Each bungalow is unique but built to the same standards of rustic-luxury. The rooms and bungalows have 1 – 4 beds outfitted with top quality linens and mattresses. The bungalows include an open-air design that keeps you comfortable day and night, as they have been built to take advantage of the local Papagayo winds to keep you cool. However, they are equipped with fans if needed. Enjoy ocean views while relaxing in a hammock or sofa from your front porch & fall asleep to the tranquil sound of the ocean waves.
*Due to the nature of the terrain and safety concerns Costa Dulce may not be for people with limited mobility (many stairs).
The Dulce Cocina keeps you healthy and happy with delicious family style meals. Delicious is an understatement, the food is amazing! Traditional Nicaraguan food blended with yoga inspired cooking, makes for healthy delicious eating. Vegetarian and vegan options are always available upon request. You will experience 4 fresh gourmet meals each day.
