Grateful to contribute to Saturday’s Community Yoga Event for Sexual Assault Prevention at Cellar52 in St.Jacobs through a heart centred juici Yoga practice, essential oils (onguard-my favourite), Sage, @lululemon & @goodvibesjuicecompany ✨
Got a little teary eyed today while teaching with my lil guy present and saying out loud- “I am a survivor of sexual abuse & assault.” I recognized in that moment that the cycle has truly been interrupted- I realized how much I am now truly THRIVING after so much trauma, adversity & pain.
That my voice is the FULLEST it’s ever been and my vision today is clearer than I could have ever dreamed. And mostly , the INNER PEACE I feel today is profound. What I know for sure, is that there can be “ life” after trauma- that your voice matters, and your story matters, and anyway that we can hold that space for each other to show up fully alive, fully authentic & fully woke- is part our collective work towards progress, healing, reconciliation & change.
