COMING IN 2018: OUR YTT ONLINE SPACE

We’re in the thick of building an online space for our yoga teacher training where you’ll get access to sections of the training to complete at your own pace, videos you can return to/review whenever you need, and space to connect with your community. That’s right – part of the training is going online, which means less time you need to book off to join us in-person, and more of our in-person time spent moving, sharing, practicing, experimenting, and getting invaluable hands-on experience and feedback. Once you’ve completed your yoga teacher training, you have access to the online space and any updated information every year as we evolve and add/update content. You’re welcome. 😉

Our yoga teacher training runs ONCE A YEAR, beginning in April and ending in November, with a break over July and August. All in-person class dates for the FULL training are circled in green in the YTT calendar: See the calendar

Class days run 9:00am – 4:00pm. You must start the training in April, and can’t jump into it in September, as the material we cover in the spring informs the work we do in the fall. HAVE A CONFLICT/CAN’T MAKE SOME OF THESE DATES? The training is designed with real life in mind: You can miss up to 20hrs of the in-person classes (and we work with you to make up for any missed material). Also, once you’ve completed the training you’ll have access to it for as long as it exists, so you can constantly update your skills and knowledge.

PrPranalife Yoga helped me find a sense of balance in my life. The rush of day to day with working full time, raising my boys and somehow finding time to take care of myself was overwhelming and often resulted in things being half-done, no sense of accomplishment and me feeling incredibly mediocre in all aspects of my life.

 

From the beginning, Asia provided the type of environment that was calm, safe and inviting. Her style of teaching is holistic, influencing the body, mind and spirt. She provides opportunities for exploration and growth and emphasizes the importance of listening to your body and doing what feels right for you. She gives permission to let go of expectations and move in complete freedom. This permission was something that I needed more than I had realized.

She is open and honest about the way her practice has evolved and encourages those around her to question the “why” of the choices they make both on the mat and off of it, be it postures, samskara, or relationships. The way her classes are structured and the encouragement she gave allowed me to move my practice to an entirely different level.

Through my practice with yoga and with Asia, I was able to slow down and give myself permission to “do the thing and let it go.” Remaining present in what I was currently doing instead of worrying about what was next on my “list”. I stopped striving for a sense of perfection on my mat with poses and meditation. I stopped comparing what I was able to do with what I could do in the past or what the person on the mat beside me was doing or on Instagram feeds, and this came off of my mat tenfold.

Instead of striving for an “image” of perfection, I found enjoyment and gratitude for what I can do through listening to myself. It’s made me a better parent, a more attentive wife and friend and a stronger teacher.
